This is something very new to me. I am not accustomed to just sharing what I learn or what is going on in my walk with the Lord. I am learning to be more open and that is one reason I created this blog. I have learned from reading other blogs and I hope others can learn from what God has been teaching me.
There is so much that God has revealed to me recently but I am going to stick to what started it all. This past week I attended a revival conference and was even able to go out onto the streets and witness. We went to apartments and my group was able to lead over 25 people to the Lord. There were 10 people in that group and I personally was able to lead 1 person in accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior. It is an amazing experience that needs to become regular. I do know that the Holy Spirit spoke through each of us and that is the reason they were touched. God did an amazing work this week in the over 4500 lives that were saved. We populated Heaven and plundered Hell!
Ever since I was little and we were a part of a church plant, that is now dissolved, I was trained to go out and do ministry. We would either go to nursing homes and pray and sing with the elderly, go door to door sharing the love of Jesus, and then have events, at whatever building we happened to be in =), where people could join us and just have fun. We have videos from youth nights, the church worshipping, to the different outreaches we did. So this revival conference stirred up the same passion I was trained to strive for years ago. For me that was being the church. I thoroughly enjoyed it and those were some of the most joyful times I have experienced.
Therefore, I started to study more in the book of Acts because that is where the pastor shared out of this past week about lots of different testimonies. Before I picked up the Bible I had been reading my teacher's blog and her last spiritual blog was right along the same lines of all that I had been hearing and feeling rise up in me. I believe all of this is showing that now is the time for us to "Arise and Go!" The pastor repeated that over and over, hoping we would never forget it and I didn't. So it worked! I think in this time more than ever we need to take a stand and share the awesome news of Jesus Christ. Well all of a sudden the internet stopped working and I couldn't go on reading the blog and I had remembered something she had said. Instead of aimlessly wondering around or just flipping on the T.V. to make a point to pray. I was instantly reminded and I decided to read the Bible. I read the first seven chapters of Acts and more and more things began to fall into place. What I was touched by the most was Acts 2:40-47 and how that was able to give me my own understanding of why I believe in us BEING the church. Now I don't have to go off of just what I have heard my old pastor or my dad say but I have a root of my own to back up my beliefs. To end this, I just want to say now is the time to go out and tell others what we know. So two challenges I have for myself are reading my Bible at least once a day(that is not just reading it to say I did but searching for whatever God might be trying to teach me) and witnessing to others. Also, praying throughout the day. I know, that is three! :-) Anyways, go and share the Love! I wouldn't want to be left out of the family of God, would you?
That is pretty much all I have for now!
