More than a quote...

This is a quote that I just heard for the first time. I actually found it on a friend's blog but I wanted to share it too! Why I say it is more than a quote is because it should be a lifestyle for all girls. In fact if you flip the quote to "...a man's heart...a woman should have to seek..." it's not just for girls, its for everyone. It is actually something I have been learning to walk out.

"A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her."

I find it so important to constantly be soaking myself with His Word and seeking out who I am supposed to be. It is not an easy task but it is more than worth it. When you become closer to God it is so beneficial in more than one way. Reading this quote proves that. We should be seeking Him out no matter what just to have a relationship with Him but when you read this quote it shows that being hidden in Christ is fruitful for marriage also. Yes, I have a while until then but I should be preparing myself now by becoming closer to God and trying to become the person I should be.

It is a challenge because sometimes there are times when you feel so on fire and want to go after Him and then others when you know you want to be closer to God but the fire behind it is kind of lost. I am daily praying for God to stir up in me a passion for Him that gets stronger everyday.

My last thoughts on the importance of becoming closer to God is that if I am immersed in His Word, in the ways of Him, and I am thanking Him for one more day then I will treat others the way I should. It is tough to respond in love to my family sometimes and that's what I want to work on. I want to treat them the way Jesus would and love my friends and those around me so that His Light shines through me and people will want to know what is different about me. That will lead me to being a testimony to others and that's my passion.

Well those are my thoughts for the day and pretty much what I am learning in my spiritual journey.
