Two words: Oral Surgery

The orthodontist, dentist, and oral surgeons are not my friends. They may seem extremely nice before they take you into the room of operations, but once they get you into that chair your own will no longer matters. Nitrous mask on. Needles injected. Medical tools tapping away at your teeth. The surgeon is now in control.

I find myself in this position a lot. No control over myself and doctors working a procedure in my mouth. This process that started...hmmm....about 4 years ago. But I guess all the cutting and grinding and tapping will be worth it when I have nice teeth...or when I have all my teeth!

Yesterday I took a little trip to the oral surgeon. They did a lot of work that I am not going to explain on here. It's too gory. The point of the operation was to go up into my gum and attach a bracket to a tooth that is not coming down. But because of this surgery I am extremely drugged up resulting in exhaustion. My surgery was yesterday morning and I have been in almost no pain, but I was nauseous from all the medicine. I threw up three times. It was like a domino effect. I would throw up because of the drugs, eat something then throw it up, try to take more drugs and throw it up because I had thrown up all my food. Pretty gross, huh?

I went to sleep at 5 p.m. last night and did not wake up until 8 a.m. this morning. Yes, I was exhausted. I'm pretty tired still but I am hanging out at CAIA all day until rehearsal tonight where I will probably just sit and watch.

Well there is my lovely story of mouth work. Have a good day! =)
