Philippians 4:11-12
Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
This has been a big learning experience for me. First, I had to learn patience. They kept saying, "not right now, not right now." Well for me I'm sitting here thinking is it ever gonna happen? Which leads me to trust and contentment. If I never got one, I had to come to a point that I would be okay, and I did. Its not necessary, just fun. I had to trust that their decision was the best. Even if I didn't like it, I needed to respect them.
It is the exact same way we should respond towards God. When we pray and do not get an answer immediately we have to trust that His timing is perfect. Or maybe He has given us an answer but its not the answer were looking for. We still need to be content.
So I have a facebook and its lots of fun but I had to learn to be content and trust that what my parent's said was best for me.
